New Milani Matte Lipsticks: Swatches

milani matte

Hey lovelies,

Today’s Swatch Saturday post is going to be about some new Milani products I came across last week! I’ve seen pictures here and there about the new Limited Edition Rose Blushes, but not a lot about the new range of shades added to the Moisture Matte lipstick collection. While there are quite a few new shades, I believe these are permanent, unlike the blushes.

I’ve already done a full review before of Milani’s matte lipsticks that I will link at the end of the post, just to make this post a wee bit shorter, and therefore sweeter.

On the display there were between 8-10 new shades from what I could see, but I only picked up four. I actually found these at my local Kmart, which has been my go-to place to find new Milani and Jordana collections. For some reason, the people in my area don’t pick through the Kmart displays and I can get what I want in one trip. If you’re someone that collects makeup, you’ll feel me on this one…it’s glorious.

I picked up the shades Matte Love, Matte Fearless, Matte Iconic, and Matte Beauty. Honestly, I’m so ecstatic that Milani expanded this line and included some vampier shades and more reds. I love this formula! Seriously, if I had to pick just one matte drugstore range to recommend to others, it would be from Milani. Maybe I’m a bit biased because Milani is one of my favorite drugstore brands, but I don’t care.

I’m also happy to announce that the new shades also smell like cupcakes. That’s what really matters here, right?

One of the other reasons why I love Milani lip products is that they have those neat colored bottoms with the names on them. It makes storage and organization easier, and the gold packaging is adorable. I can’t believe that these lipsticks are only $4.99 since the packaging and lipsticks are amazing. It’s typically one or the other is kinda dud-tastic when it comes to drugstore lipsticks.

swatches from left to right: Matte Beauty, Matte Love, Matte Iconic, Matte Fearless

Matte Beauty is a very warm brown nude with a bit of red undertones. Lovely shade.

Matte Love is a warmer cranberry shade with warm undertones as well. I think this shade will look wonderful with cranberry eyeshadow looks this Fall.

Matte Iconic is a true bright red. This is my ideal “pinup” shade, and what I think of when I think about vintage reds. I absolutely adore this shade, mostly because I love red lipstick.

Matte Fearless is a gorgeous dark burgundy with slight purple undertones. My favorite of this bunch, and possibly in this collection so far.

That about wraps up today’s swatch post! I hope you all enjoyed it! Are you picking up any of the new shades? If so, which ones? Tell me about it!

As always, thanks for reading and I hope you’re all having great weekends!

  1. Very pretty shades! I will have to get out there soon and check out the new Milani stuff. 🙂 Xo

  2. Soooo pretty! I haven’t found these yet, but I have a Kmart right down the road so I’m tempted to drive there on my lunch break at work… I didn’t realize Walmart carried Jordana!! Do they have Wet n Wild too? I usually go to Walgreen’s for all the new stuff.

  3. Those shades are so pigmented wow! I always want to try their blushes too (the ones in your photo with the rose embossed)

Would love if you check out my blog! 🙂
