Okay, so today’s post is going to be a bit different from my usual posts. I have been wanting to do fashion and outfit posts for so long. However, I struggle so much with my own body image. I can feel cute all day long, but seeing myself on camera or putting my body out there for others to see makes me…nervous, to say the least. I do follow so many beautiful and body positive bloggers, and they have inspired me a lot over time to try and be more positive about myself.
So, here I am, posting my first official outfit of the day. I tried to film it, but hated it, so baby steps I guess are needed. If this is something that you want to see more of on my blog, please let me know.
This outfit was really simple, yet very cute, in my opinion. The Guns n Roses tank is from Kohl’s, and the fluffy tulle skirt is actually from Rue 21. The hat is also from Rue 21. The belt came from Target, and is a few seasons old.
Ah, but how do I nurse in an outfit like this? Simple! I have a thin cami on underneath, and when Piper needs to nurse, I just lift up the top tank and lift down my cami. The two shirt method has been my go to way to wear cute outfits while breastfeeding for over 3 years now, since Harmony was born.
Makeup details are relatively simple as well. On my eyes is the Too Faced Natural Matte palette. Blush is “essex” by Kat Von D, and my highlight is “Spoon” by Colourpop. Lipstick is “Unicorn Blood” by Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
Photos were taken in my backyard š Pretty nifty, huh?
I hope you all enjoyed this really quick post! As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you’re all having lovely days!

you look beautiful!! don’t be self critical – remind yourself that you are your own harshest critic ⤠it doesn't matter at all what others think so long as you feel happy and confident š

Love your skirt š. Your backyard looks bloody awesome! C
I really like the tank and the hat! I understand how hard body confidence and image is, but you look amazing! You’d never know you had two children š Do more OOTD posts! x
Thank you so much š
Thank you! And I love it! I know one day my papaw will need to sell the property, so for now I’m enjoying the view.
I know, it’s a lot easier said than done for me, but I’m trying to let go of everything.
You look beautiful as always! I love OOTD posts! I’ve wanted to do some as well but I feel self-conscious about my body too. Though yes we all need to just love ourselves in the skin we’re all born in. I would love to see more posts like this! š xo
Thank you so much, Katie. That means a lot to me! I totally agree we should all love ourselves, but I also know that at times it’s easier said than done, though I think your fashion posts would be awesome!
You’re very welcome Kayla. I am looking forward to seeing more of these kinds of posts from you. Yes it is easier said than done unfortunately lol. Thank you so much! I hope to add more fashion posts eventually! Probably after I move and am more organized lol. I’m a huge lover of clothes as well! š
I love this! You should totally do more. I totally understand body image issues. It’s really hard for me too and I have not one image of my whole body on my blog for that reason. I struggled with an eating disorder and diet pill addiction for many years and when I finally broke them, I just gave up all together. But anyways, I admire you for being brave and I think you are beautiful no matter what you think of your body and I loveeeeee the outfit š Plus your backyard is pretty freaking nifty. My back yard is small. My neighborhood is one of those where you can literally touch your neighbors house on the side if you spread your arms out like a T. You live in Tennessee right? My husband’s daughter is there so we’ve been thinking of moving there to see her more and to get some space! That or Texas (where my parents and brothers are). But until then, I envy the shit out of your huge yard.
That hat!!! I love this! I so wish I could do OOTD posts, but my style is seriously lacking lol. I’m a boring old jeans and tee kinda gal. Nothing exciting about that. I can’t wait to see more OOTD posts.
Lol! I think you’re exciting, and honestly my style most days is jeans and a tee. I typically just put on some weird necklace to make me look more interesting haha. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Kaily. I’ve struggled with food and such as well, mostly back in high school, but at times now if I don’t keep myself in check when I’m feeling depressed. I do live in Tennessee! I love that so many neighborhoods here do have large backyards, but I do live in a bigger city so it’s not like that everywhere. If you do move to Tennessee, we should totally look into actually meeting each other!
Yesssssssssss! Even if we don’t move, the next time we visit my husbands daughter up there I’m totally holding you too that!
