I had another post planned out for Swatch Saturday, but then I stumbled upon these and I honestly just couldn’t wait to share them with you all! It’s no secret that I love Wet n Wild, and I always love their seasonal limited edition collections. I was meandering through Kmart (where I always find my best makeup finds) and I felt my heart quicken at the site of a completely untouched display of the new Fall stuff.
In this collection, there are 4 palettes, 6 (I think) lipsticks, and 6 nail polishes that are all limited edition. The palettes are in the traditional Wet n Wild quintet form, though I’m not the biggest fan of the quintet set up. I liked the way the Summer 2015 collection looked better, if I’m being completely honest here. The price per palette is $3.99.
The lipstick packaging is super cute. The packaging is almost like the usual megalast line, but matte black. MATTE. BLACK. I die. I wish they would make them all matte black. These are $1.99 each. In a nutshell, you could buy this entire line and only have to not go to Starbucks for about 3-4 days…which is possibly what I had to do to be able to buy these. I regret nothing.
I picked up 2 palettes and 4 lipsticks for now.
This one is called The Gal-lery Next Door. Very clever. This one caught my eye because the definer shade looks super pretty, and purples are my favorite. I think that purples and plums look amazing on green eyes.
These are the swatches. Sorry that the base shade is very close to my skin tone. These all swatched nicely. I will say that with these I don’t foresee myself being able to use only this palette. That’s one of my only beefs with these little palettes in general. I feel like I can’t do a completely look with them, personally.
This one is called “Don’t be a Poser.” This palette is all shimmers, but the darkness in it just spoke to me on some weird level. I kinda want to pair this one with my Milano palette and do some super grunge looks to summon the colder weather.
These all swatched nicely, but the “crease” shade did give me a bit of kick up. It’s still probably my favorite shade in this palette. It’s a really lovely dark forest green shade.
Even though I am happy with these, I wish there were more matte shades overall. I know that I am not the only one that likes to use matte shades in the crease and lower lash line. I would have loved to have seen a palette with a true dark matte orange and matte black. Or one with a shimmery champagne mixed with a lot of neutral/warmer matte shades. Maybe I’m alone here, but that’s how I feel about many of these quintet palettes, which could be why I don’t own many of them.
Now, time for the lipsticks. These lipsticks are incredible. They swatched so smoothly, and they are so pigmented. I love the darker shades in this line. If you are on a budget, but you want the browns and wines that are trending right now, keep your eyes peeled for this line in your local drugstores.
From left to right: coffee buzz, vintage vibe, photobomb, nightcap
My two absolute favorites are Coffee Buzz and Photobomb. Not only is the name of Coffee Buzz perfect, but it’s like a brown with a bit of purple in it, which is really unique! These colors will probably be the among the first to sell out everywhere, so I would not hesitate to pick these up if you want them. The LE Wet n Wild lines do tend to sell out quickly in general.
In all, I’m not head over heels in love with the palettes, but I am head over heels in love with the lipsticks. There are a few reds in this collection as well, but I truly need to use some of the other reds in my collection and not buy anymore. This probably won’t happen, but I’m trying. I am curious to see how close in color Vintage Vibe is to Melt Cosmetics’ “Darkroom.”
Anyway, that’s all the swatches I have for today! Will you be picking up anything from this line? Let me know in the comments section! If I pick anything else up, I will make sure to do another post! If you want to see a look done with anything, please feel free to ask! Or, if you want to see lip swatches of any of the lipsticks done on my twitter, snapchat, or instagram, I can do that as well. I just did quick swatches so that you all can have a good idea of what everything looks like!
Have a good weekend, beauties. As always, thanks for reading!

Vintage vibe is such a beautiful color!
I agree! 🙂
Of course you have probably seen I picked up 3 of the palettes on social media lol. I just didn’t get Don’t be a poser. I just felt that it was all really dark and glittery looking and just wasn’t for me. I would love to see you come up with a look with it though. I looked at the lipsticks but any of the colors that I would have wanted I already have those type of wine or red shades. I skipped on the nail polish too because I’m not too much into nail polish. I am very happy with the palettes that I did get and can’t wait to use them! 😀
I saw these on Kaily’s blog too. And although “Don’t be a Poser” is really dark as a stand alone palette, I really like all the moody colours! Thanks for all the swatches. 🙂
I love the colors as well! I’ve been looking at that one and I get so many grungy vibes from it! And no problem, thank you for reading and commenting 🙂
I did see the palettes you got! I probably have a million dupes for the lipsticks as well, but I just have to buy all the limited edition things XD haha! I can’t wait to see what you do with the palettes 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 I hope to do something with them soon. Maybe try to do an eye look with one or all three. I just have been so impressed with WNW lately and have been buying more of their stuff. I hope to get some more soon! Lol. I thought about the lipsticks but they were a bit darker than I normally wear. I might go back and buy one just for the fun of it though. Why not? 🙂
Now those lipsticks are what I was expecting the ELF ones to be or even the Vampy ones NYX had last year! Those are NICE! How the hell did you get those shadows to swatch so nice!? It’s like magic or something! Mine were crumbly shit. Or at least the poser one was. The Gal-lery one was okay. Good job skipping on Melrose Face.. they just kinda muddy up. So far girls just want to have funds is my fave though I agree that none of these are complete on their own. Also, I totally prefer the 6 pans too. Here’s to hoping I can get my hands on those lipsticks!
A few of the ones in Don’t be a Poser were a bit crumbly, but not terrible for me. Maybe it’s a weird batch kind of thing? Here’s the thing, I went back and got Melrose Face today hahaha. The yellow looked nice and I have a drugstore candy corn inspired look in mind. The lipsticks are so amazing! I went and picked the red one up today…I decided I needed it and for $2 it’s okay to need it.
I’m still looking for those lipsticks and for $2 you really can’t go wrong. CVS has a $3 off $15 for makeup right now too at the redbox and that helps 🙂 OMG candy corn! That would be sooooo cute! You should totally do it!
