Current Beauty Favorites

Hey lovelies,

I posted a new video on my youtube channel! I did’t post my May favorites and we’re into July, so I decided just to do my current beauty favorites.

Not a whole lot since it’s Summer and applying makeup makes me feel miserable at times, but there’s still quite a bit.

Please like it and subscribe if you want to see more videos! There’s also a giveaway linked in the description box.

Pregnancy update: I am now 28 weeks which means I am in my third trimester. That’s right, this is the home stretch…no pun intended. I am due in late September, and chances are I will have some things scheduled starting in September and then I will taking a short leave on all platforms, including Instagram, to soak up newborn love.

City Color Cosmetics Highlighter Haul + Review

city color cosmetics

Hey lovelies,

Today I have a review outside of my normal palette review! I wanted to share some highlighters that I bought from City Color Cosmetics during their Memorial Day sale.

I had seen so many people rave about their highlighting trio a few months back when Ipsy sent them out to others, but I did not get one in my bag, unfortunately. I love highlighters! I already know I’m not the only one. They’re very trendy right now, and I am too pale to play around with too many contouring products. However, I’m always down to douse myself in highlight and blind everyone with my shiny glazed glam.

I always love trying out affordable and cruelty free items. Highlighters seem to be something many are willing to drop $40+ on, but do we always have to? Surely, there’s some amazing high end quality highlighters out there that don’t make my bank account heave.

So, that’s why I wanted to order some City Color Cosmetics highlighters during their Memorial Day sale. The eyeshadow is technically not a highlighter, but I saw a post where Dupe That compared it to Becca’s Pearl and I wanted to give it a try on my face.

I ended up getting the highlighting #1 trio which retails for $8.99 on citycolorcosmetics.com. This comes with 3 different shades, which is essentially $3 per highlight at full retail price.

Overall thoughts: I am really loving this trio! I have reached for it so often this past month. I can’t really pull off the gold shade with my skin tone, but the other 2 shades in the palette still make this worth it for me. If you have very fair skin like I do, you will probably also love the pinky and champagne shades in this trio. The pink one isn’t super pink so it still looks semi natural, and the champagne one isn’t too warm or a champagne for my cool toned skin.

Here is a photo of this trio on my cheeks:

IMG_7237

I find this trio to be buttery smooth and so easy to blend! So, you can pack that glow on and you will still be able to blend it into your skin properly. I use the Japonesque slanted contour and highlighting brush most of the time when using this trio.

Next up is the city chic eyeshadow in Skinny Latte. This retails for $4.99 on their site. I have never truly used an eyeshadow as a highlight, but this one was a great one to start with! Out of both items I purchased, I have used this one the most. It’s such a perfect shade for fair skin. I don’t find it to pull too white, it has a slight champagne sheen to it which makes it perfect.

IMG_7308

It is a bit more of an “In your face” highlight, but that’s what I like, especially in the Summer.

Swatches from top to bottom: Skinny Latte, Highlighting Trio

As you can probably tell from the swatches, these shades are so smooth!

I am highly impressed with these highlighters, and I recommend them to anyone wanting to play around with some affordable products to make your skin glow!

If you have ever tried these, what do you think of them? Will you be ordering any for yourself? Give me some of your cruelty free and affordable highlight suggestions in the comments!

I hope you all enjoyed this quicker review. As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all having wonderful days!

Kat Von D Shade & Light Quads Review

kat von d quad

Hey beauties,

Ready for another palette review? I actually have two to review today! I picked up two of the new Kat Von D Shade & Light quads a couple of months ago, close to when they were first released.

Obviously, these little quads are spin offs of the original all matte Shade & Light palette, which we all know I’m obsessed with. I’ve had it for over a year now and still use it several times a week.

So, because I’m a Kat Von D beauty fan girl and because I love the original Shade & Light palette so much, I needed to try the quads.

First thing’s first, these quads can be found at Sephora or on katvondbeauty.com. They retail at $26 each for four shades and are cruelty free. I believe the only quad that is vegan friendly is the plum one.

Okay, so the packaging is actually really cute and compact. These little quads fit perfectly in my acrylic drawers. My only beef with the packaging is that the mirror doesn’t fold all the way back. It only goes up halfway, and it kind of bothers me. That’s probably just because I’m weird though.

kat von d sage quad

First up is the sage quad. This is advertised for those with brown eyes, but I love green so I’m gonna slap these shades on my green eyes, anyway.

I love the shade choices in this one. The transition shade is perfect and that’s the biggest pan, which makes more sense to me than having the base shade on the far right being the biggest shade. I know some will disagree with me on that, but when you have several palettes with huge cream shaded pans…how the heck am I supposed to use all of them? I personally use transition shades more than anything else.

There’s also a cool toned defining shade, and of course that gorgeous forest green shade. I will admit that the sage shade looks lighter in the pan than it swatches. However, if you’re into greens I think you’ll love this quad.

Swatches:

kat von d sage quad

Swatches are done over no primer.

I noticed when swatching the sage quad that these mattes feel different than the other ones Kat Von D has released. I don’t know if it’s a formula inconsistency or if she wanted to appeal to those that said the original Shade & Light shades were too hard to blend. I humbly disagree with that though because I hate super buttery mattes. When matte shades are too easy to blend, it becomes difficult to create a layered an defined look because you’re having to add more of a shade to try and make up for easily blending your work away. That’s what I loved about the Shade and Light palette to begin with.

This is the look I created with the sage quad. These worked really well on my eyes though I had to add the sage shade several times to my crease to create a defined look. Overall, I’m happy with it.

kat von d plum quad

Next up is the plum quad. We all know that purples and plums are my favorite shades to work with. They are very flattering on green eyes, and coincidentally this quad is advertised for those with green eyes. This is also the only vegan quad out of the four quads released.

I’m definitely loving the shade choices in this. I was worried that pink toned transition shade would pull too pink on my fair skin, but it’s actually a lovely deeper mauve toned pink.

Swatches:

kat von d plum quad

This quad swatched better overall than the sage quad, in my opinion.

kat von d plum quad

This is the look I created with the plum quad. It was pretty easy for me to layer the shades and create a defined and layered smokey eye with it.

Overall, I enjoy these little quads. I only got the plum and sage ones because I do feel the other two resemble the original shade and light palette a lot.

If I had to only keep one, I would keep the plum quad. I think it’s very flattering on my skin tone and eye color, and it was easier to work with than the sage one, though I do enjoy the sage quad as well.

I think they both cover what you would need for an easy look. They both have transition shades, base shades, and defining shades to take a look from daytime to nighttime. Both of the defining shades can also create a lovely cut crease look.

If you have these quads, what are your thoughts on them? Do you think they’re worth the price?

As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all having wonderful days!

One Shadow, Five Ways

my pretty zombie brisket

Hey lovelies.

Today, I wanted to do something a little different and show how to wear one incredible eyeshadow five different ways.

I know I’ve mentioned My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics a few times on my blog and on my youtube channel over the past couple of years. Her brand is one of the very first indie brands I ever ordered from, and it was love. This brand helped pave the way for what is now an obsession with indie brand makeup.

If you’re never been to her site, she sells a lot of badass loose pigments, blushes, and other face products. Sometimes she will release sets that include lipstick and nail polishes, and I mentioned one that was done for a charity not too long ago that you can read about here.

I was originally turned on to this brand by Victoria of Biohazardous Beauty. As soon as she said in one video a few months back the shade Brisket was one of her all time favorites, I knew I needed it.

The shade Brisket is the one I’m featuring today. It’s probably one of the most unique shades in my collection thus far. Which is saying something because we all know I have a plethora of palettes and single shadows.

I have used it on my Instagram page:

IMG_6729

I used Brisket on lids for this look, and it really pulled the eye look together, in my opinion. This is a shade that pulls burgundy/gold/red/orange depending on the light. It’s beyond duochrome. It’s magic.

my pretty zombie brisket

This is Brisket applied with a flat brush five different ways.

From bottom to top: over the hard candy eye primer, over nyx’s jumbo pencil in yogurt, nyx’s jumbo eye pencil in french fries, nyx’s jumbo eye pencil in rust, nyx’s jumbo eye pencil in black bean

I think this is why I love duochrome eyeshadows to begin with. It’s so easy to change the primer or base and create a different effect. It’s like having several different eyeshadows!

I really wanted to share Brisket today because it was one of those eyeshadows that I wanted for so long and it was definitely worth the wait. I am so happy with it!

If you’re also interested in getting Brisket or anything else from My Pretty Zombie, just enter myprettyluna at checkout to save some money. The site is myprettyzombie.com

What do you all think of smaller posts like this focused on one single product? What do you think about this eyeshadow? Comment down below! I love hearing from you all.

As always, thank you for reading, and I hope you’re all having wonderful days!

May Lip Monthly 2016

lip monthly

Hey beauties,

How’s everyone’s Spring been treating them? I feel like Spring is one of the shortest months, next month will be Summer and I will be celebrating three birthdays! My fiancé, and both of my daughters have birthdays next month.

Oh, and if you missed my update on Instagram, we’re having another daughter this September! We already have a name picked out, and we’re excited to welcome Lyrik into our family as our first Fall baby, ha!

Anyway, I have an unbagging to share today. I need to be consistent with my Lip Monthly bags, so what better time to start than now, right?

For May, I received the usual 4 full sized products, 3 lip products and 1 “makeup mix up.” We also got these adorable little bags with tulips on them and the card is really cute as well!

If you’re unfamiliar with Lip Monthly, they’re a beauty subscription that arrives monthly and costs $12.95 per month. Every product is usually full sized and most of them are lip related. Perfect for lipstick lovers like myself! I will have a code and link down below if anyone’s interested in signing up, but I have a lot of posts about Lip Monthly, so if you want to see what else I get, just search “Lip Monthly” on the right hand side of my site 🙂

Okay, now on to the products:

  1. Manna Kadar 3 in 1 Gloss: $24 Wow! I love getting high value lip products. Lip glosses are not my thing, but when I swatched this one quickly on my hand it didn’t feel too sticky, and it was very pigmented. Also, the shade is gorgeous! Definitely a shade I tend to gravitate towards all year round.
  2. So Susan Lip and Cheek Stain: $24.95 So Susan is a brand that I’ve gotten often in beauty subscriptions, and I think they have some cute and innovative products! This jelly stain is a little bit of a weird texture, and I will admit the orange shade kind of intimidated me. However, I did put this on my hand and blended it out, and it actually a nice peachy shade. If you’re fair skinned you might need to use a light  hand with it, but I think this would look gorgeous on anyone with a medium or deeper skin tone! I can’t wait to try this one out, I love blush products!
  3. Dirty Little Secret Lipstick: $10 The packaging of this is so cute! However, this is the shade of pink I do not wear. I am not into bright pinks. I do think this is a really love Spring and Summer shade though, so I can’t hate on it completely. It might be one that ends up being passed on to a friend though. Anyone else have shades that they are just not okay with? I can wear blues, greens, and black, but pink? No. I can’t wear pink.
  4. Jor’el Parker Face Mask: $10. I don’t believe this product is full sized, but I am pretty excited to try it nonetheless! This face mask is vegan and smells really fancy. What I mean by that is that it smells more like higher end masks…kind of perfume-y but not too much so.

Overall value of bag: $68.95

This month’s bag was one of the highest value bags I’ve gotten in the past few months! I’m really happy with this bag! I might not like the bright pink shade, but the value and awesomeness of the other products this month made up for it.

If you’re interested in this subscription, the code “50off” will help you get your first bag at half the price!

Also, this is a my referral link: https://lipmonthly.com//referral/VOTA7OjQCCz1

You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to, but it does help and I will appreciate it!

What do you think about this beauty subscription? If you are also subscribed, what are your thoughts on this month’s bag? Let me know in the comments section!

As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’re all having wonderful days!

Worth the Hype? Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette Review

too faced sweet peach

Hello beauties,

I have another palette review today! If you are on Instagram or really anywhere beauty related, you’ve probably seen the hype behind the limited edition Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. It’s a touchy subject for some, and it was for me for a few weeks. I collect palettes, Too Faced palettes are some of my favorites, and I knew I wanted to try this one. I missed every release for a week, and I’m normally a beast at online releases. Finally, I was able to snag one on HSN. I had to wait for a month for it to arrive to me. A MONTH.

So, is it worth all the virtual hype? That’s part of what I will be going over in today’s review.

First off, the packaging is your standard cuter-than-life Too Faced packaging. It comes in the long tin, much like the Chocolate Bar, and has a peachy ombre color to the front of it. If you’re a collector like myself, this packaging is already very aesthetically pleasing. I expect nothing less from Too Faced, their packaging is always very cute while remaining practical in terms of storage.

too faced sweet peach palette

When you open the palette up, before you can even take a look at the shades, your nose is graced by the smell of delicious peaches. I love the chocolate bar palette because it smells heavenly, and this one smells even yummier to me. I absolutely adore the scent of peaches, and I typically smell like a walking peach all year long.

Next you’ll probably notice that this palette is laid out a bit different than other Too Faced palettes. Normally, the food type palettes have 2 longer shades so the palette only has 16 shades, while this one has 18 shades, all in the same sized pans. I personally like this lay out so much better. Less space taken up equals more shades. It’s so rare that I would ever go through a shade that the longer ones normally are, so I definitely prefer to have more shades to play around with.

Price: $49

Accessibility: Good luck trying to find this palette right now.

I’m honestly not trying to be a smart ass when I say that. This palette has been a pain in the butt crack for so many people to get, to the point I’ve read people being in tears over not being able to get one. I have never seen a palette this hyped up and in high demand before, and I’ve been collecting palettes for awhile. I hope that Too Faced makes this palette permanent, maybe this is the soft pregnant heart of mine speaking, but I do wish everyone that wants this palette can get it.

Swatches:

too faced sweet peach palette

Bottom to top: white peach, luscious, just peachy, bless her heart, tempting, charmed I’m sure, nectar, cobbler, candied peach

too faced sweet peach palette

Bottom to top: Bellini, peach pit, delectable, peaches n cream, georgia, caramelized, puree, summer yum, talk derby to me

These were all swatched with no primer underneath and beneath indirect daylight bulbs.

My personal favorite shades in this palette are bellini, peach pit, puree, and summer yum. Peach Pit is such a rich and luxurious shade of brown. I die over it.

I found that all of these shades swatched much like the shades in my Chocolate Bar palette, smoothly and I was able to get a lot of product with little to no effort. This is why I love Too Faced shadows in general.

I do enjoy that there are lighter and deeper shades in this palette. This is something that I harp on a lot during reviews. I think the perfect palette has the potential create daytime and nighttime looks. Many palettes just kind of skip on the deeper tones, and that’s just weird to me. There are 4 true matte shades in this palette, but white peach can be blended out to a matte if needed, so more like 5 mattes, which is pretty decent, in my opinion.

As you can probably see, this palette is very warm toned. I’ll admit that I expected a few more true peach shades, but I found myself happy with the shades they did include. There’s peachy shades for more toned down looks, and a brighter one (candied peach) for those more daring. I also love the inclusion of purple in this palette. For some reason, peach and purple look so gorgeous together. It’s a color combo I didn’t expect to personally love.

I have played around with this on my eyes.

For this more simple peachy smokey eye, I used the shades puree, summer yum, bellini, white peach, and peach pit. All of the shades applied well with a brush and I had no trouble blending them out, but I was still able to create a layered look easily. Once again, this is why I personally love Too Faced shadows in general. For the most part (some flops here and there) I have always been impressed with how smooth their shadows apply on my lids. I have a feeling that I will be reaching for this palette often in the Summer. I am not one to wear just bronze shades or golds, but peaches I feel are flattering on fair skin. Though if you have a deeper skin tone than me, I feel this palette would be stunning on your eyes because there are several deeper shades and some beautiful bronzes.

Do I feel this palette is worth the hype? Yes and no

Yes, if you’re someone like me that loves collecting palettes and is a Too Faced fan girl. If you are able to find this at your local Ulta or Sephora, I do feel this is a palette worth picking up and trying. Even if you don’t like it, it’s so wanted right now that you could sanitize it and resell it easily to someone else that is searching for it.

No, if you’re truly frustrated and do not want to fool with it. I understand 100%. I lucked out when I bought mine. About 1 min after I placed my order, it was sold out once again. I think a lot of the shades in this palette can be duped. I know that Nyx’s golden peach prismatic shadow is pretty close to the Bellini shade in this palette. Also, the Morphe 35O (another favorite of mine) is a very warm toned palette with peaches and oranges, and that palette is permanent, whereas the Sweet Peach palette is limited edition. Warm shades and peachy shades are so trendy and in demand right now that I do feel this palette is pretty easy to dupe. If you’re feeling down, check sites like Makeup Geek and Morphe for single shadows, you’ll probably be surprised at what you can find, or take a look in your collection.

With that being said, I do not regret this purchase. As I mentioned before, I do collect palettes, and Too Faced is a brand that I do enjoy collecting from. This palette did satisfy my collector’s soul, but I am also happy with the quality of it. Too Faced did not let me down this time.

If you have this palette, what are your thoughts on it? I love reading your all’s diverse opinions regarding products. Also, if you don’t have this, do you want it? Or do you think you’ll pass on this very hyped palette?

I hope you all found this review informative or entertaining in some way. As always, thank you all for reading, and I hope you’re all having lovely days.

April Beauty Favorites

IMG_6574

Hey lovelies,

Another month, another favorites video. This month I had quite a few new products to talk about. For anyone curious, I did not include the Shaaanxo palette because I still want to play around with it a few more times before calling it a “favorite.” The Kat Von D quad made it because it’s one of the cutest palettes I’ve ordered in awhile, and the green in it really did knock my socks off. I have a look using it on my Instagram if anyone’s interested in seeing what I mean.

Random favorite of the month: anyone else catch my face in Shaaanxo’s April Favorites video at about 7:23? Someone on Facebook tagged me to let me know, and I was at my parents house and almost threw my phone across the room I was so excited. I’m dramatic, I know, but it really was an awesome moment for me considering Shannon is one of my favorite “big” beauty bloggers.

I also give a small pregnancy update in this video at the beginning for anyone that likes to keep up with my life outside of makeup. I hope you all enjoy it! I know it’s lengthy, and I’m going to work on cutting my favorites back down quite a bit. I don’t even realize I’m gushing about a product until I’m editing.

Also, don’t forget to follow me on Instagram if you want a chance to enter my 4k giveaway! Rules are on the post, and it ends Tuesday the 10th at 5 pm est. It’s not a huge giveaway, but I do want to show my appreciation for all the of the love and kindness I am continually shown by all of you.

Shaaanxo Palette Tutorial

Hey beauties,

Remember this look that I posted in my Shaaanxo palette review? Well, I decided to film a tutorial on it!

Blue brownish shades are ones that seem to be very loved among many, so I wanted to do a different take on it. With the pop of color on the lower lash line and with blue brown lips.

You can also see this palette in action in the video.

All products and brushes are listed down in the description box underneath the video. I hope you all enjoy this look as much as I did creating it!

As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope that if you’re new to my blog you will consider sticking around or subscribing to my channel.

I hope you’re all having lovely days.

BH Cosmetics and Shaaanxo Palette

shaaanxo palette

Hey lovelies,

Today I have a palette review! I feel like I haven’t done one of these in awhile, but I still have a ton of palettes to review for you all. I wanted to start with the Shaaanxo and BH Cosmetics palette because it’s very new, and youtuber collar palettes are some of my favorite to review in general.

Why? I like seeing the thought process that goes into the palettes themselves, honestly. A lot of times youtubers will create a color scheme that closely matches their own style while trying to make it friendly for everyone to use, and I know that must be tough to do in general. That and I love supporting other bloggers and youtubers, but that’s no secret.

I actually love Shannon from Shaaanxo. Her style is the actual opposite of mine, but I love her lipstick reviews and swatches. That and she’s one of the few youtubers with a couple million followers that is consistently putting up content on a schedule. I look up to her persistence and work ethics as a whole. I feel she genuinely loves what she’s doing, and that’s admirable in itself.

Okay, so moving on to the actual palette, this is from BH Cosmetics. BH Cosmetics is a cruelty free brand that focuses on creating affordable products for makeup enthusiasts and professionals alike. I’m very familiar with their brand and their eyeshadows, and I will have other reviews linked at the end of this post.

Price of this palette: Currently $14.50, but sometimes they will lower in price after a few weeks down to $12.

What’s in this palette: 9 eyeshadows and 9 shades of lipstick

What this palette claims: Allergy tested, paraben free, non irritating, hydrating lip colors, pigmented shadows

What the inside looks like:

This is a dual sided palette, meaning on one side there’s shadows, and if you flip it over, there’s the lipsticks. The packaging itself is very simple and pretty, it’s very feminine, and that in itself just says Shannon to me. The material of this palette is a tough cardboard, much like the Carli Bybel one. This palette is a bit smaller and thicker, which is actually nice because I personally don’t like having a ton of bulky palettes.

Right off the bat, you can probably see the shadows are very neutral. Remember when I said I was going to try and buy less neutral palettes? Forgive me, I can’t help myself. Now, I will admit that at first I didn’t know how I felt about the lipstick side. I personally don’t enjoy lipstick palettes. I have so many lipsticks that I don’t find myself reaching for that side often.

However, I feel this palette would be amazing for someone that wants to get into lipstick, but doesn’t want to drop a ton of money on separate tubes. One of the cool things about lipstick palettes is you can mix shades on the back of your hand. If you’re weary of lipsticks in general, or you’re wanting to play around with natural and bold shades, I think you might enjoy the lipstick side of this palette more than myself.

With that being said, I do enjoy the variety of shades in this. I feel there’s a shade for about everyone, including those of us with darker makeup souls.

shaaanxo palette

These are all 9 shades of lipstick swatched. As you can see, these are all a bit on the glossier side. That’s another reason why I don’t foresee myself reaching for this side often. I do not personally like glossier formulas. I am a matte type of gal. I do think these are very pretty shades and relatively pigmented.

I’ve seen a lot of people say the shadows are very similar to the oh so popular Manny Mua and Makeup Geek Palette. I have that one too, and while they have similarities, they are very different. If you are wanting a blue brown shade like Insomnia, the Shaaanxo palette has that duo chrome loveliness. I do find that the Shaaanxo palette might be more suitable for beginners and those looking for an everyday palette. While I love the Manny Mua palette, I don’t think the vast majority of people wear red shadow too often.

Another thing I love about the Shaaanxo palette is that there is an almost black shade included in the palette. I love when bloggers think to include a shade like this because it can take any look from daytime to nighttime in  just a few brush movements.

shaaanxo palette

These swatches were done over no primer and under daylight bulbs.

I really didn’t have to work very hard to get these swatches. The shades are very pigmented and felt smooth to the touch! I honestly love the matte shades in this palette. They are very “me” shades for Spring and Summer.

I have used this palette on my eyes several times, and I am highly impressed with the overall quality.

With this look I used quite a few shades from the palette. I used the matte cream shade, both brown matte shades in the crease, the champagne shade on the lid, the blackish gray on the outer corner, and the blue brown on the lower lash line. I really love how this turned out! The shades were easy to work with. I was able to wet my brush and get a more reflective look with the champagne shade as well.

Overall, I do recommend checking the palette out and possibly adding it to your BH Cosmetics cart in the future. I think it’s a cute and fun everyday palette to have in your collection. I think Shannon did a lovely job with this collaboration. Even though I’m not a total fan of the lipstick side, I still think the eyeshadow side is worth it for me.

If you have this palette, what are your thoughts on it? I would love to know! If you don’t have it, will you be adding it to your wishlist?

As always, thanks for stopping by, and if you’re new to my blog I hope you decide to stick around for a bit.

I hope you’re all having wonderful days.

April Ipsy Unbagging 2016 “Dreamers”

april ipso

Hello beauties,

It’s been a minute since I’ve done an Ipsy unbagging on here, so that’s what I’m doing today!

This month’s theme is “The Dreamers.” I’m not entirely sure why, but I rarely don’t question their motives for themes.

If you’re unfamiliar with Ipsy, it’s a beauty subscription that arrives monthly to your mailbox for $10. On average, everyone gets 4-5 full sized or deluxe sample sized products. These can  be makeup, hair care, or skin care products. Usually, I get a little bit of everything each month! Personally, I enjoy receiving small samples of multiple products so I can try out over the course of a few months, and I’ve actually repurchased several full sized items after trying them thanks to Ipsy! I’ve been subscribed to them for over 2 years now.

Anyway, this month I think I scored some nice things! So, let’s get right on into what was in my cute little tie dye-esque bag this month:

  1. Tarte’s LipSurgence Creme in Wonder– I’ve actually never tried too many Tarte lip products before, but I love getting Tarte products in my bag! I have swatched this, and it’s very creamy and has a pretty red tone to it. I’m normally not one to wear more sheer and glossy lip products, but I think this one would be nice to have in my bag in the Summer time if I need something to put on quickly that’s not going to feel dry.
  2. Probelle nail polish in In or Out-Most of the time I dislike every shade ever sent to me in terms of nail polish, I’m picky, and I’m not very colorful and I usually get pinks and blues. However, I enjoy purples, and this is a very cute purple shade. I’ve tried this brand in the past when I was subscribed to Beauty Box 5, and it’s actually a decent nail polish.
  3. Nomad Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Desert Sands– I love receiving eyeshadow normally, but I don’t wear gold shadows very often. I’m so pale that I feel gold can quickly overwhelm my face. This shade is nice though and seems like a great quality shade. The little package is cute and even has a teeny tiny mirror. This might be a product I pass on to a friend, however. Nothing against the brand, it’s just not my type of shade.
  4. MorrocainOil Treatment– I love getting oil samples in my subscription bags! I have a mini stash of them, and I cherish them. Oils can be pretty pricey, but they do have multiple functions. I use them on my face, in my hair, and I even blend my liquid products out with them at times. If you have dry skin, oils are going to be your best friend. I have heard that using oil can help those with oily skin as well, but I have never had oily skin a day in my life so I can’t attest to that. This little precious oil sample is going in my stash though.
  5. Luxie Beauty Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlight Brush– I was so ecstatic to see this in my bag! I love Luxie brushes, and I have received several thanks to Ipsy now. I think the blue handle on this is so cute, and it’s so soft! I may post about it on Snapchat soon, so if you’re not following me there and want to, make sure to add me! Not gonna lie, I have a thing for highlighter brushes. I have about 5 now and I use all of them for different highlighters. Don’t judge me. I can feel you judging me.
  6. Too Faced Waterproof Better than Sex Mascara-This was a point perk I redeemed last month and I’m just now getting this month. This is a full sized product, and it’s brand new to Too Faced! I love the Better than Sex mascara, and with Summer coming up I wanted to try a waterproof mascara. I have wimpy natural lashes, and the original Better than Sex is the only one that gives me volume and length. I’m pretty excited to try this one, and more than likely I’ll be doing a video on it!

That’s everything I got this month! Overall, I’m really happy with most of the products I received. Just a friendly tip for anyone subscribed to Ipsy, always review your products at the end of the month. It’s helped me substantially and I have been happy with most of the products in my bags the past 5-6 months.

If you’re subscribed to Ipsy, let me know in the comments what you got! I would love to chat!
