New at the Drugstore! (Haul)

Hey Beauties,

I don’t think I have done a chatty little haul blog post in a very long time. 2015 is over and 2016 is here…and it bears gifts. Makeup gifts. Lots of makeup gifts. It’s a good thing my resolution wasn’t to not buy makeup, because I would’ve failed before New Year’s.

It’s no secret that I love drugstore makeup. As much as I love a great high end palette, I love sharing more affordable options with you all and I like to have them handy in my own collection for personal use and tutorials. There are a few brands that always get me though, and Wet n Wild and Milani are two of them. I always love browsing around different stores for their newest collections.

It’s rare that I am disappointed with the quality of their products. So, when I found an almost untouched display of new products from both their brands, I jumped at the chance to pick a few (a lot) things up.

new milani

First, I’ll talk about some new Milani products.

Basic Neutral Eye Palette $10– At first, I thought this palette was pricey, but then I saw that pretty gold packaging and considered the fact that Loreal sells palettes for $16-20 and figured it was worth it. This is just a standard neutral palette, but there were 3 palettes on the display. I grabbed this one to test them out and see how I like them. I’ve swatched a few of these shades and I really love the dark brown shade and the shimmery one. A few of Milani’s eye products have been major misses lately, so I’m hoping this one will redeem how I feel about their shadows.

Primer Perfection Hydrating Primer $10– I picked this up out of pure curiosity. I have super dry skin in the Winter, and I’m curious as to how a primer can be both hydrating, oil free, and a pore minimizer. I will definitely be talking about this in an upcoming video!

Rose Hip Oil Lip Treatment $8– This was another purchase that I felt was kind of pricey for a drugstore product, but considering the price of competing lip treatments, this was a steal. I’ve already been using this, and I love the smell. I’m not too fond of the huge ass applicator, but the product itself is very moisturizing and if I apply it before bed I wake up with my lips not feeling dried out. It’s also not too thick like true lip masks can be, and feels more like a silky lip oil.

new wet n wild

Okay, the Wet n Wild displays were what I went ham on. I love me some Wet n Wild products. They were also on sale at Walgreens and there were little coupons in places, so double score. Nothing makes me happier than an already affordable brand being on sale.

Brushes 99 cents-2.99– I have been wanting these brushes for SO LONG. They are so freakin’ cute. They were also way cheaper than I expected. Now, these are obviously going to look way cuter than they feel and they do feel a bit plasticy, but the brushes themselves are super soft. I have used the powder brush a few times to put loose powder under my eyes, and it does a great job at being super gentle in that area! The eye brush is awesome as well, and will set you back a whole dollar.

Brow Mascara $5– I actually needed a new brow mascara since my beloved Nyx one was drying out. I’ve used this one a few times, and I honestly may like this more than my Nyx one. The wand on this is slanted so it’s easier to apply it to your brows. This is also a few dollars cheaper than my Nyx one!

Max Fanatic Cat Eye Mascara– Remember when I reviewed that other Max something or another mascara and hated it? I really hope this one is better and I don’t hate it. I need a cruelty free mascara option that isn’t $23 like my all time favorite Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara.

Glow Shimmer Strips ThingI never know what these things are called. This I picked up because it reminded me of the popular Ofra Cosmetics highlighting brush strips. But these aren’t $30, they’re $4.99. This has so much product, and the light pink highlight in this looks a lot like the one I love so much from my limited edition Fair Trade Coffee trio from last Summer.

Lash O Matic Fiber Mascara $8– I bought this out of pure impulse. Most days I wear natural looking false lashes, but I’m wanting to see if this will be any good. I will probably end up doing a first impression video on this product. The Physicians Formula one didn’t “wow” me because the fibers got EVERYWHERE. Honestly, now that I know how to out lashes on properly, it takes me less time to put them on than trying to put 3 million coats of mascara on my wimpy lashes.

I also picked up the new setting spray a few weeks back, but it’s not in the photos. I’ve been using it, and I will say there’s not a lot of product in it. It is nice to have a cruelty free and affordable drugstore option though. Even though the setting spray didn’t blow my mind, it’s still nice and worth looking into!

Well, that’s everything I picked up in this mini drugstore haul. I have a huge Ulta haul on the way, but I’ll probably film that and add my Christmas makeup presents in it as well. So, if you’re interested in that, make sure you’re subscribed to my Youtube channel!

I hope you all enjoyed this little haul post! As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all having wonderful days.

J.Cat Beauty Lip Paints: Review + Lip Swatches

j.cat lip paint

Hey loves,

Today for Swatch Saturday I actually have a video! I have been trying out the J.Cat Beauty lip paints that I ordered for a bit now, and I finally sat down and did a review with lip swatches for my Youtube channel! Lip swatch videos are very intense, so I apologize if a few of the darker colors are not very pretty looking. My mouth was on fire towards the end.

IMG_7870

Anyway, just a little tidbit: J.Cat is a cruelty free and very affordable brand. They seem to have a ton of lip products, and I am impressed with almost everything I have tried, and I want to order more.

In the lip paint line, there are 36 colors. The packaging and color range is very reminiscent of the OCC lip tars. They are pretty different though. I would say the J.Cat lip paints are similar in concept and shade range, but pretty different in terms of the finish and lasting power. A few of these do go on patchy and need building up, but the ones that are patchy make incredible mixing shades! Overall, I do enjoy these lip paints and they are fun to play around with!

IMG_7869

I’m considering doing a separate video with all of my favorite mixing combinations using these. Please let me know if you would be interested in something like that, and what colors you would want to see me create! I do know a bit about color theory. Not enough to brag about, but enough to get by.

Everything else that you may need/want to know is in the description underneath the video! Please watch it and let me know what you think. Also, if you’re not subscribed to me please do so! I’m so close to 300 subscribers! So close, yet so far away.

PS- I know I spelled “review” wrong in the opening credit. Way to start a video, right? It was late, and I was tired. It happens, and I’m too lazy to delete a video and re-upload over one letter. That’s precious time that could be spent listening to music in my underwear. I’m totally kidding…

I hope you’re all having amazing days! I do plan on sitting down and catching up on comments very soon, so please don’t think I’m ignoring you! My daughters joint birthday party is this weekend and I’ve been fairly busy with that.

Ipsy Unbagging: May 2015

ipsy april

Hello, Jetsetters

I have an Ipsy unbagging for you all today, and yes, the theme is “Jetsetters” for the month. Remember when I said that last month’s bag was my all time favorite? I changed my mind, this is my new favorite bag. Seriously look at how freakin’ cute it is. There were several bags that were given out, and from what I’ve seen they’re all cute.

Anyway, if you’re new here a quick description of Ipsy is that it’s a beauty subscription that arrives at your doorstep once a month, and costs $10 per month. Each person takes a beauty quiz of sorts and is given 4-5 full sized or deluxe sample sized beauty items based on that quiz. There’s typically a pretty good mixture of high end and indie/non mainstream brands, especially lately it seems. I really feel that the Ipsy has stepped their game up and they are sending out some incredible things, or at least in my opinion they are.

bellapiere gel liner

The first thing I want to share from my bag is this BellaPierre gel liner. I wasn’t too thrilled about getting another liner, because I have about 10 that I need to use up from other beauty services…but then I swatched this one. I swatched it and it didn’t budge. I washed dishes, rubbed it with my hands…everything. It’s also very very creamy and smooth. I have a feeling that with allergy season upon us this liner may be my new best friend. Because there’s nothing better than being halfway through your day and having an intense sneeze fit and suddenly looking like a sad raccoon.

IMG_6657

Okay, I will admit that I squealed a bit when I saw this in my glamroom. I’m a lip product junkie, I know it. I embrace it. Or rather, my lip products are always embracing my lips in some way (ha!). In my bag this month I got a mini pencil (still a good amount of product) of Urban Decay’s 24/7 lip priming pencil. This pencil from what I gathered is supposed to prime and blur out imperfections on the lips. I have a feeling this will come in handy now that I have an HD camera and every little line can now be seen on my lips. I also got two little lipgloss samples in “Failbait” and “Bittersweet.” I’m normally not a fan of samples like these because I never use them, but Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands so chances are these will be used. I’m honestly dying to try that purple gloss out sometime soon.

IMG_6658

This was the other thing I was most excited about this month. I received a Luxie tapered blending eye brush, and I die over anything and everything rose gold. I actually ordered the Luxie angled face brush when they had a sale on it and I use that brush constantly for blush and it’s probably my prettiest brush I own. So, I was naturally excited to see I was going to be adding a new little rose gold pretty to my collection. Blending brushes are something I never seem to have enough of.

IMG_6659

Last, but not least, I received a deluxe sample of the Briogeo leave in conditioning spray and a sample of the Amie morning-dew mattifying moisturizer. I use leave in conditioners CONSTANTLY on my hair since I have naturally coarse and frizzy hair, so the spray I’m pretty excited about. I typically don’t use hair samples (I forget to, oops) but that one I will use.

I’m happy about the moisturizer, just not too sure how it’s going to be on my skin yet. A “dew” mattifying moisturizer seems like a bit of an oxymoron to me, but I will try it at some point.

Overall, I’m really happy with this month’s Ipsy bag! I feel that their sample game has been strong the past few months. If you’re subscribed to Ipsy, what did you get in your bag? Are you happy with it? Comment your thoughts or link me to your blog posts ❤

I have no idea if I should start doing “follow up” posts with my subscription bags, so if that’s something that would interest you, feel free to tell me! Or maybe I should make the follow up a video with a look put together with some of my favorite things received? I have no idea, ha!

As always, thank you for reading, and I hope that if you’re new to my blog you will decide to stay and follow me for a wee bit!

Wet n Wild Silver Lake Collection

wet n wild silver lake

Hey lovelies,

Today I have a review with swatches of my palettes from the Wet n Wild Silver Lake Collection. I know these have been floating around for a bit, and I will admit to being skeptical at first. I find that with wet n wild shadows, they can be kind of hit and miss in terms of quality. However, I saw a few bloggers I follow talk about how awesome these were…and they’re limited edition. What is it about Limited Edition makeup that makes me buy it? You could put glittery baby turds in a container and put “limited edition” on it and I would buy it. Okay, maybe not, but I would definitely consider it.

Anyway, these little palettes have 6 shades per palette and are $3.99 each. That in itself is incredible! I feel that these are exclusive to Walgreens, or at least that is the only place I have seen displays for them at.

I have 3 palettes from the collection to share today, but there are 5 total palettes in the collection. California Roll is the other one that I want terribly, but I’m still looking for it. That seems to be the most popular one.

IMG_6316

Since this one is the one I’ve had the longest, I will start with it. This is “Thrift Store Chic” and I bought it mostly for the name, because thrift store chic is actually my lifestyle. This is a very cute and flirty palette with mostly pinks. I will admit that the glitter shades in this one are kind of lacking, but I use elf’s glitter primer with them and they end up looking beautiful! I really love the last shade in this. I don’t really have a shade like it in my collection, so that alone made this one worth it. I adore the last shade in this palette though, and it made the purchase worth it. I’ve been trying to add more colorful palettes into my collection because I really need to venture outside of the neutral zone.

IMG_6281

IMG_6315

This little pal is called “Vegan Culture” and is most definitely way out of my comfort zone. I don’t wear a lot of blues because I feel it clashes with my green eyes, but I REALLY love the mint shades in this palette. The silver is also super pretty. The shimmery white shade is also lovely and would be the perfect inner corner shade. This palette is totally the perfect spring/summer palette for those in need of something fun! All of the colors in this one swatched beautifully, and are super buttery. The pigmentation is awesome with these, as you can probably tell by how much my tattoo is covered by the last few swatches. I can’t get over how lovely those minty green shades are.

IMG_6283

IMG_6314

The last one I have to show is “Vinyl Collection.” This one is very very neutral. I obviously needed another neutral palette…but it’s limited edition. It’s justified in my mind. I do like this palette and the quality is the same as Vegan Culture. My personal favorites in this one are the matte shade (perfect transition shade for my fair skin) and the dark khaki green shade. It’s so gorgeous, and I feel it has just enough brown in it for me to pull it off. If you’re in need of an everyday neutral palette with a twist, look into this one. It’s just a nice one to add to the collection, in my opinion.

IMG_6285

Overall, I am very impressed with these shadows. A few (namely the glitter shades) are a bit lacking, but it’s not horrible. I feel these are worth the $4 each and if you can find them all, pick them up! I have no idea when these will be taken off the shelves, but I do know more limited edition items are starting to hit the shelves as well *winks*

Like I mentioned before, there are 5 palettes total in this collection and you may need to hit up a few different Walgreens in your area to find them all. Every display I have seen only has 1-2 of each palette and usually 2-4 are sold out. Frustrating to say the least. If I do find the other two I will pick them up and create a separate post with swatches!

I will definitely be playing with these more and I’m thinking about using them to create a minty Spring/Summer look!
So, if you’re new here and you’re interested in seeing looks, make sure to stick around if you want! It’s free! 😉

As always, thank you for reading and I hope you are all having lovely nights.

Spring Vibes: Milani Lip Intense

milani lip intense

Hey beauties,

First off, I’ve started a new book! I feel like I’m the last person to read this, but so far I’m enjoying it! Mindy Kaling is so real and blunt, much like myself. She’s very relatable.

Anyway, I have been rotating my products out a bit to show some love to older products, and I stumbled upon some lip products I bought on clearance a few months back. They’re not new or anything, but I feel they’re worth mentioning. Milani makes some of my favorite lip products, drugstore or high end.

I bought these 3 shades on clearance during the Winter knowing I would pull them out in the Spring.

These Milani lip intense glosses aren’t new, but they are worth mentioning. I’m not a glossy kind of person, I really just don’t enjoy sticky things on my lips. These feel really nice on my lips though and even though they aren’t long lasting, they’re beautiful and feel nice and light on the lips.

The pigmentation is also really nice as well!

I have the shades Fiery Coral, Violet Addict, and Red Extreme. All 3 of these shades are very bright and appropriate for Spring and Summer. I will admit that Fiery Coral is not really my kind of shade, but it is really pretty.

I mentioned before that these aren’t long lasting, but they do last a bit without having to reapply. They also have a very nice finish, not too glossy, not matte, not sticky. Perfect for days when you want something “in between” matte and glossy.

Glambot Review & Haul

Hello Beauties,

I decided to film a quick video reviewing Glambot and show what I got from their site during their last huge sale.

glambot

I purchased these products with my own money.

And it was well worth it. I spent a whopping $15 on 5 high end eyeshadows that are all practically brand new! I highly recommend this website if you’re a makeup lover on a budget, but also loves high end products.

…because that’s the story of my life.

And like I said before, I was not contacted by Glambot to do this at all. I’ve just been wanting to shop their site for awhile now and I couldn’t pass up 80% off Urban Decay shadows!

Review: Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

jeffree star

Today I want to talk about my favorite thing…lipstick! I’m always down to talk about lipstick, but more specificially, liquid lipsticks. They seem to be talked about everywhere at the moment. I own quite a few different brands myself. Honestly, I’m addicted to liquid lipsticks. I love trying out new brands and seeing their color ranges. Is it a problem? Maybe. Am I gonna stop? Never.

I like liquid lipsticks because they are just easier to me. If they’re long lasting and easy to apply, I can put them on and still look glamorous without having to worry about lipstick being all over my teeth 5 minutes later.

Jeffree Star has released his own line of liquid lipsticks, and they are blowing up instagram! When I saw that he was releasing a bundle that included a true red, a deep red, and a nude…I almost died. I knew they would sell out quickly (less than an hour later, to be precise) so I stayed up and painlessly snagged my bundle at 3 am est. Honestly, that was the least painful makeup release I have ever endured. The site didn’t crash, I didn’t get my shit stolen out of my cart…or my bank account *COUGH LIME CRIME* So, thumbs up for that.

I wanted to do this review mainly because these shades will be available again next month. So, if you’re on the fence about whether or not to buy these and need a bit more insight, you’re in the right place.

Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipsticks are vegan and cruelty free. They are also $18 a piece, but the bundle I purchased was $46, so it was discounted a bit.

Packaging: Lush. It’s so cute. I love the fat tubes, honestly. They’re so bold, yet sleek in their own way. Different than many other lipstick packages I’ve seen lately.

jeffree star

Application: These come with a doe foot applicator, but I did notice that the brush has a bit of movement to it. I like that. I like that I can easily maneuver the brush in tight spots and get the most crisp line possible.

Formula: This formula is incredible. It’s probably my new all time favorite liquid lipstick formula. It’s so light on the lips, it feels like I’m wearing nothing. It’s not too drying, yet this formula is super matte. It’s rare to find a liquid lipstick that’s super matte, yet not super drying at the same time. It almost feels like velvet.

Color Payoff: Freakin’ intense. These are very opaque. Even the nude “Celebrity Skin” is very opaque, which is different for me considering my natural lip color tends to throw most nude shades off a bit.

Longevity: Ya may want to sit down for this, but these are truly everything proof. I have said with LaSplash’s lipsticks that they can get crumbly after a bit, and most do, but Jeffree Star’s do not. They are truly kiss proof. Yes, I used my boyfriend for lipstick research. Kiss your boos in this lipstick it won’t budge.

jeffree star

Overall Thoughts: It’s probably obvious at this point that I’m legitimately #obsessed with this line of liquid lipsticks. I didn’t order the two newest pastel shades, because pastel shades on pasty skin just isn’t my thing. I love my nudes and reds, which is why I ordered this bundle back in February. I believe this bundle (or at least the colors in the bundle) will be restocked in April! So, if you missed out on these, you will get another chance to order these soon. I really do love this line, and I hope that Jeffree Star’s cosmetic line continues to soar and expand, especially if everything will be this high quality.

Here are some photos and swatches of the bundle:

This is the shade "unicorn blood" by far my favorite of the bundle. A warm burgundy red. Aka perfection.

"Celebrity Skin" a very beige nude color. Doesn't flatter my pale skin the best, but it pairs well with lip liners to change the color a bit.

"Redrum" an extremely true red shade with more orange undertones than blue, but it's a good in between. I adore this bright red.

Mini Marshalls Haul

So, I follow quite a few beauty related pages on here and on Instagram and I have seen quite a few people posting about finding Kat Von D eyeshadow palettes and lipstick at 50-75% off of normal retail value! Kat Von D does no wrong (makeup wise) in my eyes, so I went on a quest to find these deals…and walked out with more things. That’s how makeup quests typically go, right?
I’ve also had a very tough week. I have money set aside in my Poshmark balance for “emergencies” so I can get out for a bit with the girls (my kids). I let Harmony pick out a Hello Kitty notebook and we made a day out of it. It was much needed for all of us.

IMG_3176

So, this haul wasn’t “mini” but I will say that I didn’t spend very much on this haul at all!

I will have swatches of some of the products throughout the post 🙂
Pop Beauty Set I found this adorable set for $8, which is about half of what these retail normally. I have a Pop Beauty eyeshadow trio from an ipsy bag that I like, so I decided to give this one a try. For $8 I got an eyeshadow trio, lip crayon, and blush. It’s a peach themed set, which is perfect for my pale skin!
IMG_3184
These are the swatches. The bottom one is the lip crayon in “peach promise,” the next 3 are the eyeshadows from the rich cocoa trio (very smooth and pigmented), and the top one is the blush in “peach sheen.” I have to say that I am head over heels in love with the blush. This entire set is beautiful…but that blush. LOOK.

My next finds were the cute little Ciate nail polishes. One in “ladylike luxe” (very gold) and another called “butterscotch.” These retail on sephora.com for $15 each, but I found these on clearance for $2 each! I almost had to fan myself. The butterscotch one’s packaging was a bit damaged, but to be honest I just love the color. I love the gold one too, but that’s mostly my tacky glittery side talking 😀

Too Faced Gold Glitter Glaze This was one of my favorite finds. These retail for $21 or so and I snagged it for $5! Too Faced is probably my second favorite high end brand, so when I found this I almost squealed. It appealed to me on several levels. It appealed to my love for all things Too Faced, and my tacky glittery side because this stuff is straight up gold.

IMG_3186
It’s so perfect, and I am already trying to come up with a way to incorporate it into a holiday/NYE look.

Kat Von D Roller Ball Perfume in “Sinner” I don’t think I have ever talked about perfume on my blog until now. I’m not very into perfume for several reasons. I have bad allergies and many tend to bother me, and I have kids and I don’t want it to bother them. However, this roller ball seems perfect because I can put it on my wrists and such to give a subtle smell. I actually like this scent. It’s very feminine with a hint of musk. Not flowery or fruity. It’s very…me. I can put it in my purse if I’m going to be out all day, which I also like. I have a 6 month old infant, and sometimes things happen (or literally shit happens) and I end up smelling like a drooly baby. I found this for $5, and I couldn’t find it on Sephora’s site, but I saw it going for $15-30 on ebay and amazon.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks and Butter London Gloss These were probably my favorite finds of the day, because 2 of them were what I went out searching for! Alas, I did not find any eyeshadow palettes, but I am happy with everything I did find. Anyway, I found 2 foiled love liquid lipsticks. One in the shade “Adora” (metallic bright red) and “Forever and Never” (coppery nude) I love both of these shades! I also ended up finding a Butter London Gloss for $3. I’ve never tried anything from Butter London. Ever. I will say that this gloss smells like straight up cupcakes, and that’s the biggest reason why I bought it. I’m not very into glosses, but I have been trying to find some that I do like because I do like how they look on others. I did find these on Ulta’s website for $20 at normal price…holy cow.

IMG_3185
Swatches from the bottom up: Butter London “Dandy Bubbles”, “Adora,” and ‘Forever and Never.”

I never would have thought to look at Marshalls for such incredible makeup deals. I haven’t been in a Marshalls in a long time because I find it hard to find many things that I like since I’m not a designer clothing/purse fanatic. I will say that if you have a Marshalls close by to go exploring, you may find something awesome! I’m still so happy about these finds. Who doesn’t love a great deal on high end makeup?

Swatch Sunday: Random Lippies

I have quite a few lipsticks that I have bought over the past few weeks that are beautiful and blogworthy, but I didn’t buy enough of each line to really justify doing a whole post about each. So, I’m doing a lipstick swatch “dump” of sorts.

DSC00132

First up, I bought 3 LA Girl Creme lip colors to try them out. These retail for $4 each on average.
As you can tell, the packaging is a bit cheap and can get pretty messy. However, for the messy packaging the product itself is very creamy and applies smoothly. The colors are opaque. I normally don’t like many creamier formulas, but these are nice.

DSC00137

Left to Right: Promise, Amour, Kiss & Tell
I’ve been reaching for Kiss & Tell a lot over the past week. It’s such a beautiful brown with red tint to it. It looks superb paired with a dark red lip liner.

SAM_3906

This is a photo taken the other day of me wearing “kiss & tell” with a deep red underneath. Love this combo.

DSC00133

Next, these teeny Kat Von D lippies were my second Black Friday snag while shopping online on Sephora. I didn’t need them, but I have a weakness for MINI things I couldn’t help it.
There’s not much to say about these because I already own two of the studded lipsticks and an everlasting liquid lipstick. I love the formulas of both of these lines. Both of these were $10 and for Kat Von D anything, that’s a steal. Even though I didn’t need these, no regrets. No regrets

DSC00134

Berlin is a matte darker rosy shade. I will probably be reaching for this come Spring and Summer. Lolita is a matte brownish nude shade. I own Lolita in the liquid form as well and it’s my favorite color of life.

DSC00138

Last, I have a couple Nyx lippies. I have “Whipped Caviar” from the Matte line (Kylie Jenner dupe, supposedly) and “Pops” from the butter line. I love the formulas of basically any Nyx line of lipstick. Super affordable, super opaque, super super.

DSC00139
Bottom swatch is Whipped Caviar (matte) and top is Pops (butter)

I will say that the matte one wears very comfortably on the lips as well as the butter one. The butter lipsticks seriously apply like…butter. Can you tell I am all about the brown/mauve nudes right now? I am stocking up while there are so many out because this is my go-to shade all of the time. If you’re very fair, I would suggest trying out the mauve/darker nude trend because I find it to be such a flattering way to wear a nude without it washing me out. That’s a totally personal opinion though and I can understand why some are tired of hearing about the “Kylie Jenner” lip.

I’m honestly ready to start finding some Marsala shades in my collection right about now. I’m not ever one for trends, but the last few color trends have been shades that I love already and work with often on an everyday basis.

I hope you all enjoyed my quick swatch sunday post with all of my random lippies. Have a gorgeous day!

Lorac Vintage Vixen

I almost squealed when I got this in the mail today. I’ve never tried anything from Lorac, but I’m always seeing bloggers use the pro palettes on Youtube, so I figured this is a quality brand. I waited patiently for this to go live on the Ulta site and was able to order one, along with some other things that I needed anyway. I still can’t believe this palette was only $12? Such a steal.

Here are the swatches from the Vintage Vixen palette, and oh my gosh. Matte/Vintage lovers dream right here. The lightest shade would not swatch on my skin at all, but it’s just because I am super pale. These shades glide on so easily though. I can tell why so many bloggers love Lorac so much. Very high quality, and the amount of product in this palette is great as well.

I did not get the other palette simply because I didn’t see myself using it. I didn’t want to order something just because it’s “limited edition” and then not use it. I collect makeup to an extent, but I do use what I buy (or at least try to).

Did anyone else snag one of these beautiful palettes? I can’t wait to play with it more and create some vintage/pin-up looks with it. I already have a cut crease look in mind 🙂
