My Perfect Nude

Finding a nude shade has been the hardest thing for me besides finding foundation. I’m super pale. No really, I use white powder as a highlight and setting for my concealer since everything else is typically too dark.

We’re talking that pale.
So, nude lipsticks are a bit scary at times. Brown and skin toned shades make me look dead, and anything too mauve can be too dark depending on what look I am going for. I have been wanting an everyday nude shade for a very long time now, and I finally found one! It is perfect. The perfect mix of pink and mauve undertones, and it’s matte.

I never thought I would find a nude shade so perfect and one that fits my skin tone so well. I am in love with it. It’s a bit expensive, but it is so worth it in my opinion. I will probably save up the money and buy another tube of it just in case it’s ever discontinued.
Yes, this is real love. I am going to buy extras.
What shade is it? It’s Lovecraft by Kat Von D from her studded lipstick line ($21). I actually also bought Poe, but I want to do a separate post with Poe included when I talk about my weird lipstick colors.
If you are a pale princess like myself, give this shade a try. I have seen so many bloggers raving about this line in general, and now I see why. The formula is amazing. The colors are phenomenal. I put a little bit of my Anna Sui water proofing top coat on top of the lipstick and it lasted from the time I put it on at 11 am until 8 pm when I took a shower. That included me drinking coffee, eating, kissing my babies. I’ll have to elaborate on the Anna Sui top coat another post though šŸ˜‰

Other products used:
Foundation- Kat Von D tattoo lock it foundation in light 44 (mixed in with one pump of manic panic dream tone in virgin)
Eyeshadow- Revealed 2 palette from Coastal Scents
Eyeliner- Physician’s Formula eye booster liquid eyeliner pen in ultra black’
Mascara- Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (trying to use it up so I can dispose of my Tarte products without wasting)

I also used the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge today for the first time ever to apply my foundation. Seriously, where has this sponge been all of my life? This is the blender to end the need for any other blenders ever. My foundation looked flawless and I didn’t use much product, which is essential when you’re applying expensive foundation, in my opinion.
